Welcome, and thank you for visiting Dr. Fakhry & Al Rajhi Hospital web-site. Dr. Fakhry & Al Rajhi Hospital (MFH) is a 200 bed private general hospital located at the heart of Al-Khobar City – Prince Bander Street (Suwaiket).  The hospital is equipped with modern equipments, and furnished with most luxurious furniture for the comforts of our patients and visitors. 

The medical staff includes a group of well-qualified university professors, consultants and specialists who have vast experience and excellent performance in the art of providing medical service.  Along with them well trained, experienced nursing, paramedical, support services staffs from different countries, and competent administrators together provide unique integrated service to the patients. 

Our staff members are committed to provide quality medical care, together with a warm and caring attitude.  In this mission we are inspired and guided by the continuous quality improvement principles, using internationally accepted quality and customer service standards.   

The hospital has completed more than 51 years pioneering experience in different medical specialties and has many ‘firsts’ to its credit: 

• The first hospital in a remote area.  The only other facility available then was a small government hospital 25 km. away.

• First private hospital in the area that :-

  > Appointed university professors and consultants since mid-seventies to benefit from their vast experience and performance.
  > Started intensive care unit in 1969.
  > Used fiber optics urinary and gastrointestinal endoscopy in the seventies.
  > Initiated Rheumatology Services in Saudi Arabia. 

• First private hospital in the Kingdom and in the Middle East to introduce the use of Fluthane (Halothane) anesthesia one year after its discovery in 1960.

• MRI, CT Scan, Mammography, Digital X-ray, Color Flow and Duplex Doppler U.S. units

• One of the world pioneers in Musculoskeletal U.S. service.

• Colored Doppler and Trans-esophageal Transducer (the first and only one in Eastern Province) in Cardiology department

Emergency Room Services is available round-the-clock under supervision of well-experienced emergency physicians, who provide the initial assessment and emergency management to critically ill patients. Most of staff are certified from Saudi Heart Association or CPR providers, some of them certified as Advanced Trauma Life Support providers. 

Two ambulances furnished with all necessary equipments to meet emergency situations are ready to serve round the clock.  EMS is well equipped with all medications used in emergencies.  It is also equipped with crash cart necessary for cardio pulmonary resuscitation. 

Medical Research:  The hospital has an outstanding status in sponsoring medical research.  As the first private hospital in the area it started scientific research in different aspects of medicine since mid-seventies.  These researches have been published in many American, European and national medical journals. 

Continuing Medical Education (CME):  The hospital continuous medical education program as early as in 1976.  Weekly scientific meeting and lectures are held regularly in the hospital’s conference room attended by doctors and paramedical staff in the area.  The hospital hosted many international speakers from USA, Europe and Middle East, in different specialties. 

Teaching Center:  King Faisal University, Alkhobar recognized the hospital as a teaching facility for its medical students.  Until the opening of the King Fahd Hospital of the university the students used to have their clinical training and tests in our hospital. 

Medical Service Contractor to Saudi Aramco: From 1974 the hospital is medical services contractor to Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco).  Other leading clients include:  Saudi Consolidated Electric Company, Saudi Cement Co., Arabian Drilling Co., GOSI, and several leading private medical insurance companies, etc.
